The Metricath Gemini® balloon catheter combines the measurement capabilities of the Metricath Libra® balloon catheter with a high-performance angioplasty treatment balloon, allowing the user to both measure and dilate (“open up”) a vessel using a single catheter.

It can be used as a stand-alone angioplasty catheter or in conjunction with a Metricath® console, allowing precise arterial and stent lumen measurements, which can then be used to confirm optimal stent deployment.

Metricath Gemini balloon catheters are priced similarly to typical angioplasty treatment-only catheters and provide measurement capability to the physicians without adding significant time or expense to the angioplasty procedure.
